Team Expectations
As a member of the Neuqua Valley Gymnastics Program, you will be expected to represent our program in a positive way AT ALL TIMES. Remember that being a part of this program is a privilege, not a right. You must abide by the following rules and expectations:
- Arrive at practice on time with proper equipment (i.e. leos, workout clothes, grips, shoes, water)
- Communicate with coaches!!!
- Manage your time!
- Plan around our practice schedule. If you need to make up a test or meet with a teacher, you should plan wisely: go to school early, meet during your option period, or after school Tuesdays/Thursdays before late practices.
- Doctor and Dentist appointments should be scheduled outside of practice time.

-If you are not at school for five periods, school rules do not allow you to participate in extracurricular activities. Let us know if you are not at school.
-Academic- coaches’ discretion.
-If you are ill and not at practice, a doctor’s note is required to be excused. - Unexcused:

- Athletes will be required to purchase the team leotards at the start of season.
- Athletes will be required to purchase the team All-in shirt at the start of season.
- Optional apparel will be communicated at the start of season.
- Athletes will be required to purchase the team leotards at the start of season.
- Never say the words “I Can’t”.
- Try your best each day. Set high expectations for yourself and teammates.
- Cell phones are to be left in locked lockers or backpacks. They are not to be out at practice or meets unless there is an emergency.
- Respect coaches, equipment, teammates, and other teams. Practice good sportsmanship.
- Do not write any negative comments or private information about the program, coaches, or teammates on social networking sites.
- Athletes need to be focused on the meet and their team during meets. Therefore, they are expected to refrain from contact with their parents or other spectators during the meets. We ask that you please respect this request.
- Abide by the IPSD Athletic Code of Conduct at all times. You cannot control what others say, post, and photograph; any action against the code of conduct could hurt you, the team, and the program.
- Be accountable and proactive about low grades. Students must maintain a passing grade in no less than five courses on a weekly basis.
- Have fun, make lifelong friends, and develop healthy habits.
